What I bring as a leader¶
Across the years, I’ve led teams and initiatives where clarity, trust, and delivery mattered more than titles or org charts.
Some examples of what I’ve done in practice:
-
Built and led engineering and architecture functions
Established architecture practices, engineering principles, and decision structures that teams could actually use in day-to-day work. -
Acted as a bridge between business and tech
Worked closely with product, commercial, and leadership teams to translate strategy into executable technical direction. -
Led through change and uncertainty
Leadership during reorganisations, platform shifts, and large transformation programmes — keeping momentum without burning teams out. -
Coached senior engineers and tech leads
Supporting growth into lead, architect, and management roles through mentoring, sparring, and pragmatic guidance. -
Created calm in complex environments
Stepped into situations with fragmented ownership, unclear direction, or delivery pressure — and helped teams regain focus and confidence. -
Promoted modern ways of working
Introduced and evolved practices around architecture, ways of working, organisation, architecture-as-code, decision records, domain thinking, and team-centric ownership.
How I typically operate¶
My leadership style is hands-on but not micromanaging.
I’m comfortable making decisions when needed — but equally focused on enabling others to do the same.
I value:
- transparency
- progress
- autonomy with clear guardrails
