I am Christoffer Råsten, an independent enterprise and solution architect in Stockholm. I started as a developer at AFA Försäkring in 2001 and stayed for twenty years, moving through solution and domain architecture to chief architect and head of architecture, with a team of six architects and a seat in the IT leadership team. Since 2021 I have worked independently through my company, TROi Arkitektur AB, mostly in Nordic media, streaming and subscription businesses.

All those years kept showing me the same thing from different angles: organizations rarely become slow because people work slowly. They become slow because friction builds up between people, teams and decisions faster than value is created. Over time that observation grew into an ongoing body of thought I callOrganizational Flow.

Through TROi I share both practical experience and the ideas that emerge from it. The blog captures observations. The paper develops those observations into a coherent perspective.

About the name

TROi stands for Total Return of Investment — what the work is meant to create. It is also the initials of my family, every letter of it, the small i included.
